It’s apparent the OP did not do any research or follow up on the rebuilding of businesses damaged/lost in Minneapolis, during the protests.

If he/she did they would know that donations have already surpassed $1 million dollars, for the past week, from many to help rebuild businesses in Minneapolis. And if he is so concerned about Minneapolis, instead of trying to stir the pot, he could donate to one of the charities in the 2nd link. What's the questions? Haha.

Last time I checked all the officers involved were arrested. (On too high of charges too so don't be shocked when most of them get a not guilty verdict, just like how Travon didn't get justice because the DA tried for second degree murder due to public outrage)

and at the time the fires were started, they were not arrested, save the one. get your timeline in order.

trayvon didnt get justice because the system is rigged, not because the charges were too high.

Good point Cborg, interesting how he tried to twist it, but failed, especially after reading this statement by the owner in the article:

The fire engine was just sitting there," Wyrobek said, "but they wouldn't do anything."

"They don't care about my business," "They didn't protect our people. We were all on our own."

"The fire engine was just sitting there," Wyrobek said, "but they wouldn't do anything."

........

way to twist the article to fit YOUR agenda, obvious alter account.

Here's a fun fact about Minneapolis, and while it no way justifies looting and vandalism and destruction, it perhaps explains the anger & frustration behind it:

Minneapolis police use force against black people at 7 times the rate of white people.

IMO, while we stand horrified every time one of these incidents of police brutality is recorded and leaks into the media, we have all been complicit in allowing systemic racism to continue and we are all coming to terms with it.

The racism and the oppression exists - hence, the protests.

why does what party theyre from matter? other than your obvious partisanship, that is?

did you honestly think we were going to defend them based on party lines?? lol

theyre shit, and they need to go. they let minne burn out of spite. doesnt fucking matter what party theyre from in the slightest; nor does it erase or distract from the fact you are twisting what the article and the owner says to fit your partisan agenda.

That's the thing that drives me the craziest about this whole thing. People keep saying I am partisan but they can't see the things they saying.

Like I've never said that Minneapolis would be sunshine and roses if Republicans were in charge. But you have specifically said, who cares about property being damaged and that the people in charge were shit for not defending property. But if they're shit for not defending property, who would you replace them with? And what would stop you from screaming brutality when officals try to prevent it from happening?

There seems to be a serious lack of critical thinking here.

where did i say they dont matter? i didnt say that at all.

what i AM saying is you dont seem to actually care and that youre just grand-standing and virtue-signalling; hence this reply of yours lying about what i said instead of talking about them.

That's the thing that drives me the craziest about this whole thing. People keep saying I am partisan but they can't see the things they saying.

boo, i dont think you hear yourself.

when i pointed out youre twisting what the owner is saying to fit your agenda, you tried blaming it on democrats for some reason. and then started inventing false quotes youre trying to cram in my mouth. because you seem to honestly think we were going to change our minds and defend the shit mayor and firefighters because he is a democrat.

i dont think YOU see the things any of us are saying; hence these false quotes youre inventing. youre not listening, youre straw-manning.

Like I've never said that Minneapolis would be sunshine and roses if Republicans were in charge. But you have specifically said, who cares about property being damaged and that the people in charge were shit for not defending property.

where did i say that? youre making up quotes. again; partisan agenda of yours and straw men.

But if they're shit for not defending property, who would you replace them with?

firefighters and mayors dont defend property. the mayor presides, and the firefighters put out fires. they do not defend property.

which in this case, he and they refused to do their jobs, because they chose to stand in solidarity with murderers and let the city burn down to spite the people.

to answer your question: decent elected officials and human beings who dont let the city burn out of spite. duh.

And what would stop you from screaming brutality when officals try to prevent it from happening?

i accused fire fighters and the mayor of brutality because they refused to do their job out of solidarity with murderers? really? where did i do that?

There seems to be a serious lack of critical thinking here.

'We are not in Mayberry’: Minneapolis community leaders call on City Council to respond to recent violence

The recent and ongoing crime wave in Minneapolis has some Black community leaders calling on the Minneapolis City Council to help them do something about it.

A memorial of balloons and flowers sits at the intersection where a woman was shot and killed Sunday night. Medical staff delivered her unborn baby, who is fighting for his life. The incident has left some in the community sending a strong message to City Council. They believe there’s a direct connection between the recent violence and the the council’s effort to defund and abolish the police department.

“When the City Council start talking about abolish and dismantling law enforcement it’s destroying, it’s destroying our community right now,” said Al Flowers, a community activist.

“With these calls to abolish the police and no real substantive plan to follow, those words have led some folks in our communities to believe that they have a sort of open season on their enemies,” said Alicia Smith, the executive director of the Corcoran Neighborhood.

At the press conference Tuesday, several community groups were asking why won’t City Council meet with them on police reform and why won’t any of them take a stand against the ongoing violence.

“It’s time to stand up in this city,” said Lisa Clemons of A Mother’s Love. “It is time to tell council that utopia is a bunch of BS. We are not in Mayberry, we are in the wild, wild west.”

While leaving the event, FOX 9 ran into Council member Andrea Jenkins, who said she views the recent violence as “an emergency situation” right now, but that she could not speak for the rest of the council. When asked why council members are using the words “defund” and “abolish” when discussing their plans to change the department, she said she wants to work with the community groups to incorporate their ideas.

“That’s exactly what I’m proposing, work together and come up with some reforms,” said Jenkins.

FOX 9 contacted five other council members on the issue. Jeremiah Ellison responded saying he’s going to neighborhood meetings with the 4th precinct inspector to hear community concerns. He says he does not believe there’s a correlation between calls to defund and the crime wave, but rather the police killing alone is inspiring it.

“If every city has this problem after a police killing and we’re the only city having this current conversation, I can’t see how a rational person will correlate the two,” said Ellison, who represents the 5th ward.

Ellison went on to say they’ve tried police reforms like non-lethal weapons and increased funding, but that nothing has worked. He stands by his belief that it’s time to abolish the Minneapolis Police Department.

Good for you for saying the truth. I mean, yes, not all of them were human garbage. But most of them were just opportunists with little regard for human life. They have no idea how to create real change because they are so caught up in our American 'Tit-for-tat' culture which ends up being counterproductive and doing more harm than good. And each time you bring it up in this forum, the usual suspects try to blame you for being racist. Meanwhile none of us ever said that it was only black people doing the looting. You can clearly see by the news footage that dummies come in all the colors of the rainbow, especially in America biggrin
